Creating your own yum repository

[root@aaatest media]# mv RHEL_5.5 i386 DVD /home/rhel

[root@aaatest media]# cd /home/rhel/

####/etc/yum.repos.d/yum.repo################
[root@aaatest ~]# cd /etc/yum.repos.d/

[root@aaatest ~]# vi yum.repo
[new]
name=new
baseurl=file:///home/rhel/Server
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0

[root@aaatest ~]# yum clean all
===============================================================================
[root@aaatest ~]# yum list all
===============================================================================
Example:
[root@aaatest ~]# yum -y install gcc*

[root@aaatest ~]# yum -y install gcc-c++*
